Weekend and The Grammys!

Happy Monday Ladies!

I hope you all had a fabulous weekend.

Mine was good...other than the fact that I am sick...again...yes this sinus infection/nasal crap came back. Dammit.

So I went home early on Friday to attempt to get some rest...

When I got home I found 2 goodies waiting on me....

First - on the doorstep, a sweet little goody back full of cupcakes

Second - my planner from Sweet Tea Paperie! I ordered it a couple weeks ago and she sent it with a sweet little note...and it is perfect....

And it is sad how excited I am about filling in all of my dates...color coordinating of course! :)

Friday night was very low key...caught up on my DVR and at pizza on the couch with Oreo Ice Cream for dessert...oh the life of a pregnant lady! :)

Saturday we woke up ready to grab the guns....we registered!! YAY!!

We registered at Babies'R'Us and Target....all you new mommas or mommas-to-be please feel free to check them out to see if I missed anything....it seems I think of something else every couple hours... :)

Then I spent the rest of the afternoon looking up fabric for the nursery....there is so much fun fabric out there and I am so excited about getting Little Miss's bedding all together! :)

I also watched Breaking Dawn and What's Your Number?....exciting weekend, right?!

I have to say I liked What's Your Number? better. I have seen all the Twilight movies...and I am so sorry...but I just don't get it...it's like every movie is constantly building up for the next...there is only one left...so it better be good! I don't hate the movies...I just to see what the big hype is...hence the reason I wait for the DVD.

Sunday morning we went to Church followed by a little grocery shopping and back home to clean and cook. They Hubs smoked ribs all afternoon and Miss AR came over again for dinner.

We finished up the weekend with The Grammys and a little more Oreo ice cream.....Maylie was trying to be as cute as possible to get some!

So the Grammys...first off...

Whitney...how sad is this?

She was my idol from like ages 5-9! I used to rock out her songs on the mantel like it was my stage.

And one of my very first compact discs was The Bodygaurd.....oh Whitney, you will be very missed!

And of course....

I love Adele, she is fabulous and I am soooooooooo glad she won everything!

Kelly Osbourne...love this dress! And she looks fabulous!

Carrie...I am normally not a fan of the long-sleeve 80s dress...but I love this white!

My girl, Miranda! Love this nude on this dress, so elegant and pretty!

These next 2 fall into the "I'm not sures, but don't hate"

Gwenyth...she just looks so skinny...I love simple black dresses especially with different lines.

Taylor, I like the idea of this...but it almost looks like something out of a Disney movie...

What the hell?! There are so many things wrong with this....

Adam Levin's gf (isn't she a VS model)...that is a little much honey....leave some to the imagination....or at least the next VS catalog!

Oh Katie...this is not flattering at all.

But I feel for the girl she did just go through a divorce..and her song was like a throwing the finger to Russell in front of the whole world! :) Awesome!

So that's all I got for this cold Monday in Nashville!

Day 3 - Hands

My baby girl's hand from the ultrasound last week.

See her head to the bottom right, well she is facing up and her belling is to the left...that is her sucking her thumb or so it looks...that is her little fist in front of her face! Melts my heart!

Day 4 - Stranger

This is my Daddy at the top and my Hubby at the bottom...Daddy is fixin' up the new house...the stranger is that monster of a thing Daddy is standing on! :)

Day 5 - 10 am

My breakfast, baby girl loooooves her some fruit!

Day 6 - Button

Day 7 - Dinner

Crispy BBQ pork chop, home-style mac and cheese and spinach salad...not the healthiest but ooooh so yummy!

Elise's Nursery Inspirations!

Okay, sooooo you all may have already seen these....Polyvore automatically posted them to my blog on Sunday! BOO!

But I do have a full post so here goes...

I had a couple ideas for a girl's nursery but nothing solid, as I was so sure it was a boy!

But here are the two I am leaning between...

First, Grey/Pink/Turquoise -

I have an obsession with grey....I believe you all know that...but I do have a worry that is a fad...you know, like brown was for a while.

Everyone had brown bridesmaid dresses, brown and pink/brown and blue nurseries, add brown with bright color it makes it fun and pretty, etc.

Not that this nursery has to be forever classic, but I don't want to look back at it like I look back at all the brown crap...no pun intended. :)

Half Way There Bumpdate!!!

How Far Along? 20 weeks, 5 days – only 135 days to go!

Size? Banana - 7 in, 11 oz (and she was 11 oz at our last doctor's visit! :) )

Maternity Clothes? Still just a couple pieces, I do have a pair of leggings that are seeing a lot of action and I bought a maternity shirt, you know with the bunching on the side, I love it...it shows of my belly rather than looking like the shirt is a little too small for me! :)

Weight Gain? I was up 9lbs at the doctor...2 lbs ins 5 weeks...eeeek!
Stretch Marks? Nope, but lathering up with that Burt’s Bees Mama Belly Butter!

Gender? Sweet, Sweet Baby Girl!! Baby Girl, Elise!

Sleep? One of my BFFs, Dawn - aka - Adelyn's Mama, gave me the big ole pregnancy pillow....and it has changed my life. I mean really, I have slept so freaking good that past two nights...only problem...it's hard to get out of bed because I am so comfortable!

Movement? I felt baby girl moving last week, but since then not so much. I keep thinking I do and then I think it could be gas bubbles.

Food Cravings? I still want to put soy sauce on everything...we had PF Changs last night and it was deee-lightful! And I have definitely not lost my sweet tooth. Baby Girl loooooves her some sweets!

Anything making you queasy or sick? not lately

Labor signs? this will be crazy when I answer anything other than no!

Belly button in or out? still in...and hopefully will be for a long time!! but I am seeing the back of my belly button now....it's weird...do any of you other mom-to-be have that? I am so worried this sucker is going to pop out sooner than I want it to!

Wedding rings, on or off? still on and loose actually

What I Miss? real sushi...I have been craving sushi pretty much this whole pregnancy and I have been indulging in fully cooked sushi....but I want the good stuff! But seriously, I am doing okay...as long as baby girl is healthy and happy!

Symptoms? My back is ridiculous...I am really pathetic about it. And I am starting to get heartburn at night...crap.

Happy or Moody? Over the moon, ridiculously HAPPY!!!

Best Moment of the Week? Finding out our little nugget is a GIRL!!!! (party details to come!!)

Our Love Story

Okay, so I saw this on my BFF's blog and I had to play along....

I can never turn down a good link up and who doesn't love to talk about the love of their life?!?! :) There are questions for single ladies AND taken ladies...so you should all play along!

Here goes.....

Taken Ladies

1. How long have you and your significant other been together?

It will be 5 years March 9th! Crazy!

2. How did you meet? {What's your "love" story?}

We met while working together at Opryland Hotel. I was working my internship and he was working to pay the bills while he attempted to do the music thing here in Nashville. He had just started dating someone and I had just broke up with someone...perfect time to build a friendship....and we did. We were friends for a year, a year of developing a crush on each other and not knowing the other felt the same way! In March of 2007, I got a new job and went out to celebrate....The Hubby came to celebrate with us....and that was it. We had a little liquid courage to share our crushes and we have been together ever since!

3. If married, how long have you been married?

We were married October 3, 2009, so 2 years, 4 months and 2 days (got that from my little ticker I still have at the bottom of this! :))

4. If you are married, where did you get married at? Big or small wedding?

We were married here in Nashville, ceremony in our church and the reception downtown.

It was awesome, everything I wanted it to be!

5. Do you have any nick-names that you call one another? Do share!

Well, we have all the typical names, honey, babe, etc.....but we have a few special ones....Hubby used to call me Hotty Toddy (all you SEC fans will appreciate that one)/HT....he now has me in his phone as Wifey and I call him Frankie (his real first name) and Hubby, The Hubs.

6. Name 3 things you love most about your honey.

His good heart. He is a typical male, hard, stern and doesn't take crap....but every once and a while something or someone tugs at his heart strings and he is more caring and sensitive than me. I love him a little more those moments! I mean you should see how he is with our puppies....he is going to be such a good Daddy!

He makes me laugh...on a daily basis. Even when I am mad or sad or hurt he can do something that brings a smile to my face and makes everything else seem smaller.

His love for SEC football...odd choice you may think, but it is cute.....yes some days it drives me crazy, but most days I love it. I love his passion, and love how it is something we can do together and pass along to our little girl! Although, I do believe she will be a Rebel, sorry honey! :)

7. Tell us how he proposed?

He proposed the night before my 26th birthday - which was also the night before my big birthday party. He said he wanted to take me out to dinner, just us, since the next day was going to be crazy hectic. He took me to dinner and then to Opryand Hotel, where it all started, to look at the Christmas lights (a tradition we started the year before) so I thought nothing about it. He was fine at dinner and then while we were having cocktails at one of the hotel bars he was drinking his Jack Daniels and little quickly! :) I still thought nothing about it....we walked through the gardens and ended up making a wish in one of the waterfalls...and that is where it happened. I was looking in my purse for change and next thing I know the love of my life is down on one knee! It was so perfectly cheesy and dreamy! I couldn't have planned it better! 8. Is he a flowers and teddy bear kind of guy for v-day, or strawberries, champagne, and rose petals?

Ummm, I would say champagne...but not really any of the above. He is more the let's go out to dinner or go see one of our favorite bands. But I will say he bought be flowers for our Anniversary and my birthday last Fall....only the 2nd and 3rd time he has ever bought me flowers! Which I looooooooooooove! Especially hydrangeas...and tulips....and peonies....no roses, thank you! :)

9. Are you a sunset dinner on the beach kind of girl, or pop a movie in and relax on the couch?

I have to agree with Laura, sunsets on the beach just aren't possible for us...but I would like to think if they were he would take full advantage. He does like to sit on the patio with a cocktail in the Spring and Fall...it's pretty fabulous. And we do love movie time, there is nothing better than cuddling on the couch with each other, the pups, and some popcorn!:)

10. Tell us one thing you'd like to do with your significant one day. If you could do anything? Go anywhere? Our next big trip won't be for a while as Little Miss will be making her grand entrance in June, but when we can...we are going to take at least 2 weeks in Europe. One of The Hubby's best friends is in London and I have yet to see everything I want to over there....so two weeks filled with France, London, Germany, Italy, Ireland it will be awesome! And I also want to go to Greece so badly...but that is a trip all in it's own! :)

11. Tell us what you plan on doing on this Valentine's Day.

We are going to one of our favorite restaurants, Jimmy Kellys. We went there last year at it was perfect. Not too crowded, not some special menu at some crazy price, just quiet little rooms in a very old house, some vino, and us. It's perfect. We will do the same this year sans Vino for me! :)

12. Are you asking for anything this Valentine's day?

All I want is for him to take me to see "The Vow" this weekend....yes, I am that girl. But I looooove me a good cheesy romantic movie, and with Rachel McAdams and Channing Tatum...it sounds pretty perfect! :)

13. Give us one piece of advice of keeping a relationship strong and full of love. Communication is key!The Hubs and I have come a long way and have learned so much on how to communicate and speak with the other...it's amazing the difference when you know how to do this! :) And another thing I think is huge....don't take yourself too seriously. This is something the hubs is teaching me more and more everyday. I am a typical southern woman who sometimes gets to involved with "how things should be done", "keeping up with the Joneses", "how I pictured it in my head", etc....and the truth is, and cliche as it may sound, none of that crap matters. At the end of the day it is me and my hubby, and is long as we are kissing and hugging and smiling, none of that crap makes a bit of difference.

The Name Game

Soooo, I want to share with you all of the fabulous pictures and videos from the amazing party.....and I will....in just a few days.
My very sweet and very dear friend Blake, aka Adelyn's Daddy, took all kinds of pictures with his new camera and lenses and it busy editing them for me....totally outdoing himself, as per usual! :)....and I cannot wait to see them!

Elise has been on my baby name list for a while and as soon as I mentioned it to The Hubs (story here), that was it. He loved it and shot every other name down. I wasn't so sure...I kept playing with other names and although I liked them....they just weren't as pretty as Elise.

It is perfect for a little girl, but also perfect for a grown woman who is a doctor, or lawyer, or artist, or teacher...whatever she wants to be!

And I love the initials too!

The Big Reveal...

And Baby B is a.......

GIRL!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

We are having a sweet and precious and sugar and spice Baby Girl!!!

I am still in shock, I was soooooo positive it was a boy!

Hubby and are over the moon happy and excited! He wanted a little girl and knew it the whole time...well until he wavered at the very end, but more on that later.

It was the such a perfect party and such an amazing evening. We are so blessed to have such amazing family and friends in our life and I am so happy we were able to share such an important and special moment in our lives with them!

It's here!! And probably as you read this I am at the doctor getting to see our little nugget dance around on the screen! :) Yippee!!

And then I have to wait all day until the party to get the big reveal! Oh my goodness I am bursting with happiness....and apparently this baby has made me very very cheesy!

I am loving that Bethany is coming back on Bravo in a few weeks....I am the only one who just adores her!? She is a trip!

I have had different dreams every night about it this week.

I have had several dreams in the past of it being a little girl and me calling her the name we have picked out...but this week I have had dreams that it was a boy.

I have not actually seen the boy in these dreams, but we did have a baby boy.

And of course, I am loving this sweet sweet man. My bestest friend!! :)

Baby B's 19 week bumpdate!

Size? Mango, 6.5 inches / 10 oz

Happy Monday...yes, it is already Monday again...

I have a busy week ahead of me and although I am sleepy I am ready to take it on!! :)

So here was my weekend...

Friday night, dinner with the girls and 3 precious little monkeys....seriously how cute are there?

Saturday, we took the pups to the park and then went to browse around Babies'R'Us....can we say overwhelming?!?!

Spent Saturday night working on many many crafts for the gender reveal party on Friday!! YIPPEEEEE!!!

I used my new circuit cutter....oh my gawd, I love that thing!! I have soooo many ideas now!

then my favorite little one-year old came over for dinner again...love her!!

Sunday we went to church....notice my fruit and banana bread breakfast...yummm....and then more craftiness...and of course my blueberry/strawberry shortcake...this baby likes fruit!

It was a great, relaxing and productive weekend! Ready to take on the week and already ready for it to be Friday so we can find out what our little nugget is!!!

It's finally Friday...WOO HOO!!!

And I am particurlary excited about this Friday because I have a pretty laid back weekend ahead of me....sweeeeeeeeeet!

Baby B & 18 Weeks!

How Far Along? 18 weeks, 2 days – only 150 days to go!

Size? Mango, 6 inches / .5 lbs

Maternity Clothes? well, I am in this in between stage...some of my pants are getting tight, but the maternity clothes are just too big yet....I think I am going to have to go with a belly band....and I don't know how I feel about that. Thank goodness for leggings!!

Showing? More and more each hour I think... :)
Weight Gain? hmmm, I am going to go with 7lbs...
Stretch Marks? Nope, but lathering up with that Burt’s Bees Mama Belly Butter!

Gender? We find out next Friday...and I CANNOT wait!!!! Cast your vote in my poll to the left!

Sleep? When I get to sleep, I sleep fabulously...but once I am up to pee or the dogs or tornado sirens (crazy Nashville January!!) then it's really hard to get back....so again, I am tired a lot!

Movement? none yet, but I am still ~~patiently~~ waiting! :)

Food Cravings? a had a big craving for deviled eggs last week...so I made some...for the first time ever! How have I never made those? And of course sweets, I also made a Key Lime Pie!

Anything making you queasy or sick? hmmm, nothing today

Labor signs? this will be crazy when I answer anything other than no!

Belly button in or out? still in...and hopefully will be for a long time!!

Wedding rings, on or off? still on and loose actually

What I Miss? being able to eat deli meat...I was never a huge sandwich person until you told me I couldn't have one...I dream of Subway, Jimmy John's, Jersey Mikes....just typing that was mean...

Symptoms? Growing waistline! and still having back pain...I feel like in old lady.

Happy or Moody? I am back to happy!! And I know The Hubs is happy about that. I am so blessed and smile every time I think about it...which is quite often!

Best Moment of the Week? getting my first shower invite!! My cousin is due 5 days before me (how crazy is that!!) so my other cousin is throwing us a big family shower in March. I am so excited, got our flights booked today and slowly starting to tackle the research for the registry!
Looking forward to...feeling this little nugget dance around! :) And getting all the details together for the big reveal party next week!! :) YAY!!!!

The pressure of a name....(baby boy edition)

So I chatted about baby girl names yesterday here... thank you for all of your sweet comments!
I will share Baby B's name when we know if we have a she or a he! :)

Now, on to the boys, for those of you who don't know...and that is most of you...my husband is a third.
And you wouldn't know this because I rarely share his name or our last name on here. I don't have a fear of stalkers or anything, but who knows who is reading this and what shows up in google searches, so I try to respect anyone I talk about on here.

I especially do so with The Hubs, reason being I chat about him on here daily and he is in a position where people may or may not do a little research on him and I don't want my blog popping up when someone searches his name.
All of that being said, I will do so for this post and then probably take it down in a few days.

Sooooo, after all that hype....The Hubs' real name is Frank Ferrell Bellar III, "Trey".
He goes by Trey on everything except for is passport, license, and birth certificate.
When I met him I figured his real name wasn't Trey and when we started dating I knew if this was the man I was to marry (which I was already planning in my head...), our son would also be Frank.
Trey was very close to grandfather, aka, "The Original Frank". I, sadly, was unable to meet this amazing man that blessed my husband with so many of the traits I love about him. He is missed, loved, and honored in The Bellar family and I am honored to carry on his name in our son should our little nugget be a boy.

That being said......now what are we going to call our little man?
Yes, he is a little man...a little baby man...not man...I could not see holding my newborn baby saying "oooh, cute little Frank!".

Trey kept saying we will call him Frankie...but that is my nickname for Trey. I call him that all the time, always have, always will......it would just be too weird.

Of course there is the option of the middle name...but Ferrell doesn't really flow either.

So what was I to do?!?!

I came up with the idea of using Frank but offering a different middle name, this way he would still be honoring Trey's grandfather and father but he wouldn't be a IV. We would use a different family name for the middle name and he would go by that. Trey likes the idea, but I don't know that he is ready to give up the IV. I totally respect that and ultimately this is going to be his decision.
But this also brings up a worry of mine....whilst looking for nicknames for fourth born I came across several momma blogs and postings saying that children who were fourths or higher were typically made fun of...:( What?!??! No?!?!?! My child can not be made fun of...not for something I could have avoided!!
Now, I don't know if they are made fun of because they are fourth (or whatever number they may be) or because of what the original name is, but I don't want to add to any reason for my child to be made fun of! And when is it too much??

I have also come up with a couple other options for "nicknames" for a fourth and narrowed it down to the 2 best for us.
They have meaning to the name and are pretty darn creative...but what choice did I have?! :)
But before I share that with you I am curious to hear what all of you think?

I welcome any and all ideas.....after all I am naming a child that will carry this with them the rest of their lives!!

The pressure of a name....(baby girl edition)

I could quote it all!

But that has nothing to do with naming a child....moving on...

I am laying here sick in bed (boo!) just finishing up the french toast that my hubby made me before he left work (best hubby ever!!) and I thought what better time to blog about baby names?!?!
On a side note, I am totally pregnant...I have not eaten syrup in like 5 years....it totally grossed me out, still kind of does....but I ate every bit of my french toast today and yesterday! Totally pregnant....and more sugar cravings...girl???

Picking a name...no big deal right? You just find a name you and your significant other both like and bam! your kid has a name, done!

Easier said than done...

If any of you are like me you have always thought about this....kind of like your wedding day....you see ideas/names and you remember them and add them to your mental list for when you get married or when you have your first baby. You don't necessarily think about all the things that come with it...

what will the middle name be? will that flow with the last name?

what will people call them? any strange nicknames?

what are the other names you like for future siblings, will it sound cheesy with them?

what will the initials be?

what about family names? will that be a factor? (big yes for me, but more on that in a bit)

is it a cute name for a little one but also a grown up name for if/when they become a doctor or lawyer?

would people mis-pronounce it?

is it different without being weird? there is a fine line...

So yes, so many many questions and concerns but cool thing is, this is a decision you make together, a decision that bonds you to this life you have created, a decision that will be carried on (hopefully) through the generations to come, and while that does bring pressure....that also makes it pretty cool! :)

We'll start with girl names, I had a fabulous list of fabulous names and could not wait to sit down with The Hubs to see which ones he loved too.....I was sadly mistaken....boys have very different and surprisingly very opinionated opinions! :) My fabulous list was sliced and diced down to about 2 names...but 2 beautiful names.

We then got one of those huge name books...not so much help. I mean really, some of those names...who does that to their children?!?!

So at random times I would throw some options out there and almost every time The Hubs would shoot me down and offer some odd name or some name of a person I once new so I of course couldn't name my child that.

Then one random night, I still remember...we were using a gift card at Outback...and I brought out a little list I had made on my phone....and little did I know that was the night we would name our possible soon-to-be daughter.

As soon as I said that name The Hubs turned everything else down. Even the names we loved before, he totally shot down. He said that was it, it was unique without being weird, sounded like an adorable little girl along with a sophisticated woman. I mean, how can you argue with that!
I being the oddball that I am couldn't decide just yet, there were so many options..I didn't want to decide too soon...I kept trying other names other options...but nothing was as pretty as that...and a few weeks later we were set on the name of our possible baby girl! :)

Just to tease you...here are several of the names that made our lists...our little nugget's name is in there if said nugget is a girl! :)

17 week Bebe update!

Hi ladies, I am still under the weather...actually it is getting worse.

I am now losing my voice on top of coughing and not being able to breath. Awesome.

But I did take 2 minutes this morning to get the hubs to take a quick pic for my bumpdate! :)

What is it with me and loose flowing nude shirts for these pics?

Didn't I say last week it wasn't a good look for me?

My weekend in pictures

It's Monday...again...and I am wishing I was like half of the working world today and I was at home with The Hubs....but no, I am at work... and what makes it worse...I am sick...again. I have got some terrible sinus infection or something and cannot breath...boo...which in turn stopped me from sleeping the past 2 nights.

Pregnant + not being able to breath + sore nose + horrible sinus pressure + no sleep = a hot cranky mess.

So I will leave you will my weekend in pictures! The weekend was great...I probably pushed myself too much and contributed to how bad I feel today but oh well....

And because I obviously can't show you the dress...here is a pic of a bracelet she tried on with the dress! :)

Sunday we had brunch with The Hub's family who came in town and then I went back to bed. Daddy brought my niece over for pizza and craft time...I had to spend time with here before she left today! And she is just as crafty as me so we decided on a Pinterest craft...

please excuse the very strange face I am making....I guess I was fighting with the wax..... :)

Ta-Da!!! The final product! :) Arin loves it and is so excited to get home and hang it in her room!

So that was my weekend! Filled with lots of good friends, lots of family, and lots of fun! :) Wow, I sound cheesy...but it's true!.....and I am paying for it today.

Hopefully I will feel better soon and I won't be cranky for The Hubs! :)

Well, it’s Friday! Thank goodness!! It has been a week, hasn’t it?? I guess because it’s the first full work week in like 3 weeks….back to the grind!

I have a full weekend ahead of me,

Tonight…dinner with 3 of my very favorite ladies to say farewell to the fabulousness that is T-Word!

We love each other.... :)

The answer....no one....soooo, you have to come back ALLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLLL the damn time!! MMkay?!

We are going to miss you so much, most of all how much you make us all laugh and how you are ALWAYS there if we need you. ALWAYS!

I miss you already and these pregnancy hormones are making me get all teared up so I will stop....

WILW and What I am not loving so much!

I am going to do WILW a little different today...I am going to add what I am not loving as well. Why you ask? Because I didn't sleep ~~well~~ barely at all last night and I am a little cranky.... :)

So, here we go!

I am loving this fabulous new nail polish color I found.

I really wanted OPI's new color Wocka Wocka from their Muppet Collection (I got it on my toes at a pedicure a couple weeks ago and LOVE it!), but couldn't find it....

so I checked out Sally Hansen's Salon series and found "Wine Not" which is pretty darn close! And I may even like it better....

I am not loving that it chipped really bad this morning....but hey, I painted them last Friday morning...that's pretty good!

I am loving all the sweet comments you all left me yesterday about our gender reveal invites! (you can see the post here).

They are some of my fave invites too and if you need any custom invites or cards, please check out my friend Jessica. She really is awesome and will make it exactly what you want...case and point, my invites! :)

I am also loving that sweet Katie "pinned" my invite and it has become very popular on pinterest! :)

I am not loving that I have to wait a little over 3 weeks for said party.....but it's okay, it will be here before I know it!

I am NOT loving that for some reason stupid Uverse is not airing it! WTF?! They are airing every other show on CW every day but for some reason they are playing a movie tonight. WTF!?! Good news is mom and dad still have Direct TV (I miss you DTV!) and are recording it for me!

I am loving my hubby & puppies very very much!

And the only bad thing about that is I don't get to see them until 5:30!

16 Week Bumpdate and Gender Reveal Invite!

How Far Along? 16 weeks, 3 days – only 164 days to go!

Size? Turnip, 5inches/5ounces

Maternity Clothes? Still good with my regular clothes, but there is definitely a bump!! It showed up like 2 days ago!!
Weight Gain? I am exactly 6lbs up!! Woo-hoo!! I thought I was 6lbs last month (and was sad about that), but I was only 4 pounds at my last appointment and have gained 2 since then. The doctor said that is perfect! :) :)
Stretch Marks? Nope, but lathering up with that Burt’s Bees Mama Belly Butter!

Symptoms? Still have this morning sickness floating around just about every morning, but goes away once I eat. And my girls, they still heart…a lot!

Best Moment of the Week? Hearing Baby B’s heart beat and kicking yesterday!! We went to the doctor yesterday afternoon and Baby B was moving and kicking like crazy!! We could hear it on the doppler and it was so awesome!!!! Dr. says baby and momma are progressing perfectly!! Music to my ears!!! :)

A little weekend recap!

Well, it's Monday again....where did the weekend go....well, let me tell ya! :)

Friday I met up with my folks AT THEIR HOUSE!! IN NASHVILLE!! (WOO HOO!!!) and helped them unpack a bit then we all went to dinner.

And when I say all, I mean all 8 of us...I have awesome family and they came in town to help the folks move!

And can I just say how excited I am that I can do that....any random Friday I can go to dinner with my folks. That makes me a happy girl! :) :)

Friday morning I woke up fairly early......for a Saturday anyway......and met up with these pretty ladies

to shop for a wedding dress for Jennifer (the pretty blonde on the left).

We went out to The White Room in Lebanon, and lemme just say, I love them! They are all so sweet there. They have a fabulous selection and everyone is more than willing to help in every way. We went there for my first attempt at dress shopping and I left thinking I had to buy my dress from them just because they were so nice!

Jennifer found 2 absolutely GORGEOUS dresses, both different and stunning in their own way, one was exactly what she went in wanting and one was exactly what she didn't want! None of us could pick which one was THE one....thank God her and her momma and sister are going back this week to make that decision! Either way she is going to be an absolutely stunning bride!

We then headed to lunch before hitting up the Lebanon Outlets....yes, there is a Coach outlet...yes, I cam home with 3!!

We then headed back to Nashville to get pretty and cook for Taylor's first going away party. I suck and didn't take any pictures, but Taylor did snag this adorable picture of AR "dipping" her bread (please excuse that horrible face I am making....WTF?!).

And I put "dipping" in quotations because it was a spinach dip that you had to scoop not dip, but she had seen all the girls doing it all night so when she got in my lap she had to dip it too! She pretty much just had her bread graze the top of the dip (every time she took a bite!) and then ate it...it was THE cutest thing ever!

I heart her...cannot wait for our little one to be here to play with her!! :)

I also added some Valentine's Day decorations...here is one of them...remember all the candy corn back in the fall??? Well I just added candy hearts instead! :) Isn't it cute!?

Sunday, I had a lazy morning catching up on "Say Yes To The Dress" and then went and met my folks for lunch and a little Lowe's shopping.

We went to Bonefish where I proceeded to eat too much Bang Bang Shrimp...it's been a while since I had it and forgot how much I LOOOOOOOVE it!!

And then we tested paint colors....and we got some good ones!

It will be a light gray throughout most of the house and for the dining room a pretty navy, a light blueish-gray in the office, and a mocha/latte color for their bedroom....and then they will tackle the upstairs! :)

The Hubs and I finished up the weekend on the couch with Chinese take-out...I couldn't tell you the last time I had that....the baby loved it! :)

So here we are, back on Monday...ho hum...good news is today I have Doctor's appointment this afternoon and I can here Baby B's heartbeat!!! Yippee!!

Aaaaannnnndddd, tonight there is a football game on...have you guys heard about it?! HAHAHAHA!

Now these are 2 evil teams....so I have to pick the lesser of 2 evils here....The Hubs has a bet against Alabama and I don't really know that they should even be in this game...but that is a whole 'nother conversation/argument....so I guess I am going to have to go with the latter....but instead of saying Geaux Tigers, those are curse words for an Ole Miss fan, I will just say BEAT BAMA!!!!!!!!!!!

I have a few designers I like, but they aren't taking orders right now :(

....and all the others have taken crazy pills and want like $200-600! Yes, I have seen several that start at 5 or 6, seriously?!?!

We didn't do a whole lot, some friends of ours decided to have a little dinner party thing at their house. Just a few couples and potluck!

And me being the DD for everyone!

But don't think we didn't find that a good reason to dress up for the occasion! :)

First, the most precious little princess...Miss AR, all sparkly and fabulous for the the big night! Outfit is complete with her paci on pearls, pink sparkly tights, and glittery/sparkly pink toms!

and last but not least, there were sparklers.....at the end of the night....me being the only sober person, didn't think it was such a good idea....I kept my distance and everyone else walked away with only 1 or 2 casualties.... :)

And the most important part of the evening.....this pregnant girl was up until 1:45! Holy Hell! I haven't see that side of 10:00 let alone 12:00 since October...wow...I am that girl.

But anyway, it was a fun night with good friends, good food, and a sip of champagne at midnight! :)

PS, tomorrow is Friday. Thank God.

WILW & 15 Week Bumpdate

Happy Wednesday! Don't you just love that it is already Wednesday?!?! That means only 2 more days until the weekend! Well, after today...but still that's awesome! I think every week should be a 4 day work week....who's with me?!?!

We will start this lovely Wednesday of with a few loves I have.....

1. That Revenge is coming back on tonight...I love this show...if you don't watch, you should!

2. That one month from yesterday we will find out what this sweet little nugget in my belly is! :)

(how cute is this cake btw? I just found it when I googled.)

3. That I get to celebrate these 2 pretty ladies this weekend....bittersweet actually....

The one on the left, Jenny Crafton, is getting married!!! So we are going wedding dress shopping on Saturday!

The one on the right, T-Word, is moving next weekend... big sad face :(...so we are having 1 of 2 going away parties on Saturday night. We are OH so sad to see her go, but even more happy she is in love! :)

4. That as of Friday my folks with be Nashvillians!!! Yippee!!!

I cannot believe it, I have not lived this close to my parents since I was 18....and that's when I lived with them!

This Baby is not going to be spoiled at all... :)

5. And most importantly, I love my husband. SO much! He has been so amazing lately, with my emotions all over the place, being fine one minute and exhausted the next, rubbing my back, bringing me breakfast in bed, and always making me laugh. I love you, Hubby, more than you know! :) XOXOXO

Now onto the bumpdate!

How Far Along? 15 weeks 4 days

Size? Avocado, 4-5inches/3-5ounces

Maternity Clothes? Still good so far, but I do see a little bump...and I am pumped about it! :)
Weight Gain? I am thinking about 6lbs, I go to the doctor Monday so I will get a more accurate number.
Stretch Marks? Still no sign of them....keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!

Gender? Will find out one month from yesterday!! What do you think?!?!

Sleep? Sleeping good these days, even pretty much sleeping through the many trips to the bathroom each night!

Food Cravings? Still loving my fruit, I am snacking on an orange as we speak. The sweet tooth is of course still there too!

What I Miss? same as always, having a few cocktails

Symptoms? this nausea won't seem to go away, but it is in small doses & my back, I feel like an old lady!

Best Moment of the Week? seeing a little bump making its way to my belly! :)

Christmas Re-cap

Well hello there!!

I am soooooo sorry for my absence....I was taking advantage of my pretty much 2 week vacation....and it was awesome!!

I have a few re-caps, we'll start off with Christmas...

I didn't do too hot with taking pics....but I did take a picture of every single one of my mom's Christmas trees.....all 19 of them...yes, 19.

First, from top left to right....

Guest room 3 tree, upstairs bathroom tree...and I just noticed that I don't have either of the 2 Christmas trees!!

Yep, the woman is awesome when it comes to Christmas decorations!

This is only the tree section of the decor....the entire house is pretty much re-decorated for the season...and I LOVE it!!

There is so much that when they were house hunting they had to make sure the house had enough and preferably walk-in storage...it's awesome!

I also snagged a pic of the welcome/Christmas gift I got for Daddy...well it's really for Momma too...but anyway...check out all their goodies!

I also walked away with some AWESOME stuff.....I was clearly a good girl this year....or I am really good at fooling Santa... :)

I got this pretty little Coach bag from The Hubby.......

....along with another one from my MIL! I am so spoiled with Coach!

I got a circut machine!! I see lots of crafty things in my future!!! YAY!!!

I got both of these pretty necklaces...

A subscription to these 2 magazines...

An AMAZING new knife set!!

I cut a potato....and it was like budder! SWEEEEEEEEEET!

This pirdy new duvet set....

Pretty much identical to the one we had, but cleaner without the little fuzz balls and a fun new design...I just love the crispness of white!

I got tons of other fabulous little goodies...too much to be honest! :) ~~My parents~~ Santa loves me!

I got The Hubs got a Playstation 3 with games and stuff (I am going to regret that....) along with TONS of UT gear including a UT Magic 8 Ball that said this baby was a boy....just sayin'.....

He also got a record player, some clothes, more UT stuff, some hunting stuff, and lots of other goodies.

The pups got lots of chew toys, treats, and bones....see Mr. Man with the biggest bone he has ever had!

And baby girl slept like this the whole way home from Memphis....you think she had a good time?! :)

And of course Baby B got some goodies too! A bib and a burp cloth made by Great Grandma and a Sleep Sheep...it is so soft and plays heartbeat, rain, and a few others. And it is soooo soft! :) And a few gift cards that we can shop with very soon!

So all and all we had one of the best Christmases ever! It was the last one for me in Mississippi, which is bitter sweet....Mississippi was the place I called home the longest (I lived in 6 states before it) and so many of my very dear friends are still there...but now Mom and Dad are living 15 minutes from me!!! YAY!! And it was also the last one as just the 2 of us...next year will be here in Nashville with a little 6 month old!!! EEEKK!!!

14 Week Baby B Bumpdate!

How Far Along? 14 weeks 4 days

Size? Navel Orange, 4.5 inches/2-3oz.

Maternity Clothes? Still none yet...but there is definitely more of a "bump" thanks to all of Momma's fabulous holiday food!!

Weight Gain? Again, thanks to Momma's good cookin' this is probably more than should be but I haven't stepped on a scale since we have been home....maybe I will wait until after a few rounds on the elliptical... :)

Stretch Marks? Still no sign of them....keeping my fingers and toes crossed!!

Gender? Now I really don't know....I have thought boy from day one....but I have had 2 dreams of me holding our baby girl and calling her by her name (our number 1 name contender) and then last night I had a dream that we did the gender reveal party (with a stick similar to a pregnancy test, weird) and it was a girl....maybe my head is playing tricks with me since the heartbeat was so fast last week....hmmmm.....

Sleep? Sleeping okay, still needing more than I thought I would.

Food Cravings? Fruit. That is all I have thought about since last night....I want pears, peaches, grapes, oranges, pineapples, yummmmm!!!

What I Miss? again, the booze....one of my BFF's got engaged on Christmas and I want to be able to drink some champagne and celebrate with her...oh well, there will be PLENTY of days for that! :)

Symptoms? Still lots of back pain, but other first trimester symptoms are slowly fading!

Best Moment of the Week? Getting an unexpected ultrasound and getting to see our little nugget dance around in my belly! it was AWESOME!!

In other baby news, I am working with the fabulousness that is Jessica on invites for our gender reveal party....and they are AWESOME and PERFECT! Seriously, this girl reads my mind....every time....can't wait to show you the pic! :)

WILW - good deals and craftiness!

Hello ladies! It's Wednesday....that means that Christmas is FOUR days away!!

My Momma called me yesterday and read me the menu for the weekend......including breakfasts, lunch, dinner, and a plate FULL of the most amazing cookies you have ever had!!

This makes a pregnant girl VERY happy!!! :)

Now onto a few loves for today....

I am loving all these holiday sales, yes I know I am supposed to be shopping for others...which I definitely have, but hey a girl can't pass up some of these deals! :)

One this fabulous coat from Forever 21....but....

....in this color! I LOVE the bright royal blue, it is fabulous and goes with everything! :)

And the best part....it was $32!!!! And it is a good and heavy coat...thank you F21!!

I also ordered 2 pairs of boots from Urbanog.com, a fabulous website I found from Miss Katie over at KC&KO....thank you Katie...I am now obsessed with this website!

I got these fabulous little booties...

I am even wearing them today...love!

and these fabulous boots, but in black...I needed some basic black boots as I believe I have officially worn my other ones out.

They both fit perfectly are very comfortable AND I got them within a week for a total of $73!!

SWEET!

On to some craftiness...

Jere are some picture frames I painted for all the Great Grandma's-to-be!

I went with the gray and yellow color scheme since we don't know what our little nugget is just yet...

For The Hub's cousin, she is getting married next year so I painted something with her new initial! :)

And for my most favorite thing I am loving....

....the fact that I unexpectedly got to see Baby B again on Monday!

Long story short I have been having some horrible abdominal pain, so I called my doctor and they had me come in to make sure all was okay with the baby. They had me do an ultrasound and it was AMAZING, I can't believe the difference since 9 weeks! I got to see BB (Baby B's) little fingers, spine, arms legs, he/she was moving around like crazy. It was SO AWESOME! Good news is BB is growing perfectly and there is no sign to worry as far as the baby goes, thank goodness! But I also got the heartbeat again...which was 155 this time...that is girl territory....now I am not so sure on my little Baby B! :)

My First Bumpdate!! & My Birthday!!

Happy Monday Ladies! I hope you all had a fabulous weekend!

I am here on this most splendid Monday with my first bumpdate and....

It's my birthday!! :)

First off, my very first bumpdate! :)

I was slacking on the weekly picture taking other than 8 weeks, so I have that one and the most recent 13 weeks...

And that 13 week pic...terrible...it was on our way out the door Friday night and I had a loose razor back top on....not good for showing off the belly....good for this stage of pregnancy (aka I just feel fat stage), bad for showing belly progress! :)

I promise to do better on the next one! :)

How Far Along? 13 weeks, 27 more to go!

Size? A peach or a shrimp….how are those 2 things the same size??? About 3 inches long, and half of that is his/her head!

Maternity Clothes? None yet! Everything is still fitting....some a little more snug than others...

Weight Gain? Not really sure on this one, I think around 4 pounds

Stretch Marks? Nope! But I mean, there hasn’t been a whole lotta growth yet…I am using Burt’s Bees Mama Belly Butter.

***Speaking of, any other momma’s out there have suggestions on which creams are the best?

Gender? I am going with a baby boy, The Hubs thinks it a baby girl……we'll find out in a 6 weeks!!

Sleep? Easy to go to sleep, sleeping VERY well until I have to get up and go pee around 4:00….then not so much….

Food Cravings? Sweets! Candy, cookies, cakes, yes please!

What I Miss? Having a glass of wine (or several) at all these fun holiday parties

Symptoms? My “girls” are sore, back pain, and still having lots of fatigue…..but the nausea is slowly fading!

Best Moment of the Week? Being able to share the news with everyone!! :)

So that's all the baby talk for today....on to my birthday celebration! :)

On Friday me and just a few of my favorite people went to dinner at Germantown Cafe, one of the best in Nashville if you ask me!

First, I just want to say a big thank you again to all of you for your sweet sweet comments all week! This has been so fun sharing all of our news and stories with all of you, and all of your fun, supportive, and sweet comments just make it that much better! :)

And I will try not to only talk about Baby B on here everyday....but let's be serious...I'm a little excited.... :)

On to a little Friday game......

1. My most favorite "little thing" is ....

is having the hubs rub/tickle my back while watching TV and falling asleep. It truly is my favorite thing.

2. I give anything to.....

be able to have a glass of wine (or 2 or 3 or 4) tonight at my birthday celebration dinner.

3. I can't believe that ......

a week from today I will be on my way home for my last Christmas in Mississippi! Crazy! I am sooooo excited!

4. The one thing I'd like to achieve today is......

getting my fingernails and toenails painted....they look a hot mess....and it DRIVES me crazy!

Big Goal, huh?!

5. The last thing I want to do today is......

be outside in this cold, rainy mess!

6. If I were writing my own blank today, it would say: My favorite Christmas movie is.....

White Christmas or Christmas Vacation....best of both worlds!

7. My favorite candle scent is......

right now is my scentsy, Christmas Cottage, my house smells just like a Christmas Cottage and I LOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOVE it! I love scentsy!

So I have another exciting weekend ahead of me...

Tonight - A birthday celebration for me with 13 of my favorite people at Germantown Cafe, one of my Top 5 here in Nashville! SOOOO excited!!

Tomorrow - Going to The Hubs' Grandmother's for that side of the family's Christmas

Sunday - relaxing day finishing up all my wrapping!

Spreading the word of Baby B!

This is one of the things I love about blogging.....sharing all of these amazing events in my life with all of you and having it stored on the world wide web for everyone to go back and read and reminisce about. Hopefully one day this little nugget in my belly will read this and see how unbelievably overjoyed we were about him or her and how very very very very much loved they were already!

Okay, sorry about the sentimental pregnancy talk....on to the stories!! :)

So I found out first...just me, Maylie and Otto. I'll set the scene....

It was Tuesday October 11 (how is that for a memory!??!), my boss was out of town so I was taking full advantage.....I wasn't going in until 10 (yeah, I love my job.).

We had been back in Mississippi the weekend before form my 10-year Class Reunion so I was still recovering.

At around 8:30 or so I realized I had already gone to the bathroom 3 times that morning....and had nothing to drink...hmmm? Well I had some pregnancy tests at the house from a few months ago when I thought we were pregnant, so I thought, why not?

I hadn't exactly missed my period yet , but again I thought...why not?

So, I took it...put it down and walked away trying not to hover over the poor little test and let it do its job.

2 minutes later I go back and see this...

Yes, a very very faint line.

I stand there for minute, look up, look down, I think, nooooo...could it be? Look up, look down, think what if?!.....but it is sooo faint. Maybe I am just trying to wish a line there. So then I think...let's go digital...those suckers don't have the faded line confusion!

So on the way to work I stopped and got one, whilst guzzling water the whole way.

I get to work and almost immediately tested that sucker.

(That was interesting btw, taking a test at work...but I was dying ladies! I needed to know!)

I sit and wait in the bathroom....then, "Not Pregnant" pops up.

Wa wa waaaaaaa.

Yeah, I almost cried. But thought....I still think there was a line! Something was telling me not to believe this...

So I start googling "faint lines on pregnancy test", EVERYTHING says....if there is any form or sign of a line...you are preggers! And to try again first thing in the morning as that is the best time to test.....so all my water guzzling may have hindered the test....

So I try not get my hopes up or jinx anything and keep it in.

Yes, I didn't even tell The Hubs!! That was rough, but he always said he wanted it to be a surprise and I didn't want to ruin that moment with a "maybe".

So the next morning I took a test again....still faint but more of a line.....

I was definitely more sure....but I needed that extra boost.

And of course silly me only bought one digital yesterday....

So after a VERY long morning at work...I stopped at lunch I bought another on the way home....

I sat it down and walked away again....don't stress, Sarah, don't get too excited Sarah.....

.....and then Maylie, Otto and I walked back into the bathroom....and there it was....the most amazing word ever....

Pregnant!

I just sat there for a minute, my hand it my mouth and the tears started. I couldn't believe it. I still can't believe it!

I immediately said a prayer to God thanking him while holding my hand over my belly. The whole time trying not to ruin my make-up as I had to leave the house in the next 10 minutes!

I really cannot explain that feeling.

Something I have been dreaming about for so long.

Something I, being the crazy planner that I am, thought...how perfect would that be to get pregnant at that time?! And here it is, it happened!! How did we deserve to be so blessed!!?!?!

The Hubs

Then I immediately called The Hubs,

M-Hey honey, wanna grab some lunch?

H-Sorry babe, I can't, I have a meeting with client at lunch and then 2 more meetings this afternoon to get ready for.

M-Oh okay honey, well I guess I will see you later on tonight.

In my head- what?!?! no?!?! so now I am suppose to sit on this all day and tell no one!?!?! Ugghgghghghhghghghh!!

And the worst part, that night was girls night....our monthly supper club....and he was going to hang out with one of the husbands....

Me freaking out and not wanting anyone to know thought, well we can't cancel...they will know something is up....

So, I went. Pretending to sip on the same glass of wine all night long.

(The only one who noticed...my BFF, Laura, she was on to me.)

So pretty early in (like the first hour), I claimed to be tired and not feeling well and I had an early meeting. I got some looks, like WTF, Sarah?

You see I am normally the last one there! I didn't care... I needed to get home and tell my hubby!!

I texted him on the way home and said, when are you coming home?

H - whenever why?

M - I am on my way now can you meet me?

H - uh...yeah... (exact words)

Again he and the other husband were like what?! It's only 7, why is Sarah going home?!

So, I get home and he is already there. My stomach is all giddy and nervous.

And I hand him a gift bag....(something I picked up at lunch)

He says whats this for?

I said, just a happy for your long/rough week at work.

He gives me a look but proceeds to open....

The look on his face, you guys....one I will never forget!

He said, are you serious?!, with that big sweet grin on his face, oh my gawd!!!

He runs around the counter with that happy smile and laugh and grabs me and gives me the biggest hug I have ever received from him!

I start crying of course and hug him back and say, yep..

"I'm PREGNANT!!!"

First time to say it out loud....it was awesome and surreal!

One of the best moments of my life that I will never ever forget. It was perfect!

We spent the rest of the night picking out Mexican names for our little mexico baby! :) HA!

The In-Laws

A few days later my In-Laws were coming in town to watch the pups while we went to Knoxville for the UT game. Well, we normally leave when The Hubs gets home from work...but we had other plans up our sleeves.... :).

My MIL kept trying to pack goodies for the road and I kept saying, well wait until The Hubs gets home and see what he wants to do. I could see the look in her eye like, "why don't you want my food? you always want my food?!".

So The Hubs gets home and my FIL says, you better get on the road, the traffic is already bad.

The hubs says yeah, you're right as he walks into the kitchen.

He says, well, I think we might stay the night & hang out with you guys and go in the morning.

The both look at him like he has 2 heads....why would you do that?!!?

He pulls the shirt out of the bag....and says well, Sarah gave me this the other night....

My MIL looks at me, looks at him, looks at the shirt...and then start screaming.

Screaming thank you lord, hugging both of our necks and making us each def in one ear.

She then immediately starts rubbing my belly and patting kisses on it.

She was a little excited. :)

My Folks

The next weekend my parents were coming in town to start their search for a home here.

They had just signed on the dotted line and officially sold their business and were retired.

Sooooo, when they got there we had a gift for them.

A happy retirement gift, if you will.

We had taken this picture earlier that week

so I framed it and wrapped it up.

Well we got this one on video.....

you'll have to turn your head a bit, The Hubs was filming and he didn't realize the iPhone turns with you! :)

SOOOOO glad we have that on video!!

Friends

For my best (out of town) girlfriends, I sent them the same framed picture wrapped in a pretty pink postal envelope with notes saying

"Call me before opening"

They both did, and had their fabulous reactions! One just kept saying, OMG, are you serious, OMG, I am going be an Aunt, OMG your boobs are going to get huge, OMG, your going to be a mom! The other started crying and saying how perfect it was. Exactly the reaction I expected from both! Next best thing to doing it in person!

And of course, Laura, well I told her the morning after I told The Hubs.

So bless her sweet heart she has been having to keep this secret the whole time too!!

She is awesome though, she bought Baby B his/her first gift along with the most adorable pregnancy memory book!

She has been SOOOOOOOOOOOOO amazing the past couple months helping cover for me! Laura, I love you BFF!! THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU!

Baby B and I and The Hubs appreciate it more than you know!! :)

The other girls in fun ways with the pics and fake glasses of wine....good times! Needless to say everyone was surprised, but not really.....but oh so happy!! :)

The Hubs, well he is different in telling his friends....he keeps telling people I "caught pregnancy in Mexico"! HA! Gotta know him to love him! :)

Wow, this is a long post! But probably one of my VERY VERY favorite ones! :)
