Baby girl is home!

So I must say, I absolutely adored being in the hospital, call me weird...but I did.
Every single nurse we came in contact with was so very very nice and so eager to help me/us in any way possible. I had everything I needed right there and I could ask all and any questions I had regarding baby girl. So needless to say, when it was time to leave I was a bit apprehensive. Not because I didn't think we could take care of Elise, but it was just so nice to have all the amenities and be catered to! :) HA!
But it was time...time to get to our new life as parents!
And of course, in true Sarah fashion...I have it all documented through pics!

Here is our little nuggest all cozied up in her carseat for the first time...about to get on the elevator!
Aaaaand, we got her in the car....I was a bit nervous now....sunlight, noises, bumps, not to mention other crazy drivers...they had no idea we had a brand new baby in the car!
I wanted to put a big sign on the outside of Jeep...."BRAND NEW BABY"! HA!
We got home to this oh so sweet sign made by The Taylors! And yes, I teared up a bit....oh hormones!

And I can't get over how pregnant I still look in these pics!
I have been using the belly bandit this week and the difference is a-maz-ing!! Pregnant ladies, invest in one!
I will do a post with must-haves along with a post of my belly progress!

Maylie girl meeting her baby sister....Otto did a little sniff and didn't seem to care too much, he was just excited to see us! :)
But just to note, the pups have been so great with her. When she cries or start making noises they both want to fix her, they run right up to her and sniff her head like "what's wrong??!" it is so very sweet!
She likes her monkey chair! :)
My awesome and amazing parents brought us dinner for our first night at home. They came in and set it all up for us and left....they wanted to us to have our first night as a family at home! And we did, we had our first family dinner! See Elise sitting with us?! :)
First night (see the rock & play, also a big hit with us!!)!!
The next morning we decided to take Elise on her first walk. It was like 70 degrees and perfect, the next few days were going to be 100+ degrees so this was our only time to do it! And it was fabulous!
I am so ready for this heat wave to go away so can do more of these!!
And of course more random pics.... :)
It is so crazy how much she has changed since these pictures!!
 Daddy time!
Aunt Laurie & Uncle Robert came to visit!
Okay so this pic needs a little explaining....
Our little Angel is souvenir of our anniversary trip to Mexico last year...(TMI??!! sorry). So we call her our little Mexican Baby. Well, my parents went to Mexico and found this tiny little sombrero....they gave it to us in the hospital right after she was born! How freaking funny is that!??!?
Loving on my first baby girl!
Then on her 3rd day home we had our first doctor's appointment.
And thank God for that!!
Tuesday night was rough for us all, feeding just wasn't happening and she was starving, gassy, and cranky....and I was right there with her, add exhaustion and still in a lot of pain and you have a pretty pitiful couple of girls.
The Hubby didn't know what to do!! So at about 4am he called his mom and she came running. I was being stubborn and wanted to do it all on our own and never would have called her or my mom....but thank God he did...we needed it.
She helped in so many ways and helped us get our sanity back! Not to mention the doc telling me to pump and me getting my new best Medela Pump!
Holding her Daddy's hand....
When she was born she was 7 pounds 12 ounces, when we left the hospital she was 7 pounds 5 ounces. When we went to the doctor, she was 6 pounds 13 ounces, baby girl had pretty much lost a pound - no wonder she was screaming all night!!! Not total freak out, but definitely not wanting her to lose ANY more! So the doc told me to pump and feed if she couldn't nurse and if I couldn't pump to give her formula (which definitely wasn't the problem!) and to come back in 2 days for a weight check.
So I did, we did, and she did.
Baby girl was up to 7 pounds 4 ounces in 2 days!!!
This makes for a VERY happy Momma and Daddy!!
And of course I had to takes pics of her first "dress-up" outfit!
After the doc appointment my MIL and Hubby sent me to bed and told me not to get out for the rest of the day and possibly the next. My body and pretty much given out on me. I was so weak, so exhausted (going on maybe 3 hours of sleep each night for the past 5 nights) , I could barely walk and when I did it hurt, and I cried twice for pretty much no reason. I was broken down. But oddly enough, I was okay with it - she is worth every bit of it!
It was so hard to stay in bed when she cried though, I just wanted to scoop her up! But I had my awesome and fabulous Summer Infant monitor and I could watch them take amazing care of baby girl from the bed. It was so nice....and that rest was VERY much needed!! VERY MUCH!! I felt like a whole new person in two days!!
And I could still feed her and play with her when she was away! :)
Not a happy girl.....then 2 minutes later......
 And 2 minutes later.....
 And bath time!!
I am over doing it with the pics?!?!
If so I am so sorry....but it probably isn't gonna change in the immediate future....I'm a new momma!! :)

I'm sorry it's been rough, but I'm so glad to hear that it's totally worth it and that baby girl is doing so much better. And she gained weight! That's awesome! The pictures are can never post too many in my opinion!

keep the pics coming!! She is so beautiful! Isn't the medela amazing?! I loved it!! Olivia was too small to BF so I had to pump. She will plump up from your milk in no time, or formula! That is great you are getting some rest!!

AND how sweet she stopped crying for you! She knows her mama!! :)

She's so cute! I'm glad you were able to get some rest. Those first few days can be hard. We loved the Rock and Play for Jackson to sleep in as well. He did so good in it.
