Nursery Crafts!

Okay, I thought I would share a few of my crafty projects from the nursery with ya'll since I had a very uneventful (but needed) weekend!

First, the frame above her crib.
Here is the after...
 Here is the before...
It was a mirror that my lovely momma gave to me to do what I wanted.

First, I had to take the mirror out...and that was quite the process!
These little suckers ALL around it and stuck to it...my poor fingers!
I ended up using the flat head screwdriver half way through...would have been a lot better had I used it the whole time...oh pregnancy brain!
Then, once I got the cardboard out the mirror was glued in there!
So I had to take a flat head screw driver and pry it out of there...slowly going around the whole mirror trying not to break it.
Who needs that bad luck?!?!
Finally, I got it out! In one piece!!
Then I had to clean it up for the paint!
See all pretty now...and then my primer and paint and my stylish little mask.
Baby girl doesn't need those fumes!

First up, one coat of primer.
Next up 2 coats of the pink.
I let it dry for about an hour and half after the first coat.
It was a rather warm spring day so it was good to go!
Then did the second coat and let dry!
And voila!
A pretty little frame for her pretty little name in her pretty little room! :)
I love the way they turned out!

Next up, the yarn "E" from her bookshelf.
I got a cardboard "E" from Joann's and some lime green yarn...pretty basic craft.
I started with a few dabs of hot glue for the first few wraps and then after about the 3rd or 4th one you didn't need to glue it every time. Which is good, because that gives you the option to move them strings around like you want it.
So you wrap, and wrap, and wrap.....
and then you start going the other way...up and down....
then...it is done! :)
This was really easy, I did it while watching a movie. I definitely see myself doing it in the future for showers, parties, etc. So fun and easy and cheap!
So those are a few of my crafty skills lately!
More to come! :)
