The Help = Amazing

So, I saw "The Help" yesterday and it was soooooooo good!

I read the book last year and absolutely loved it. I am not a big reader so the fact that I read a book beginning to end in about 3 days says a lot! I am from Jackson, MS & went to Ole Miss so after my mother-in-law read it she gave it to me and said I MUST read it. I did, and I loved it. I got super pumped when I found out they were making the movie, but was a little weary as most movies fail by comparison to the books.
The first time I saw the trailer I got even more worried, they made it seem like a light comedy...which it isn't at all. Don't get me wrong, there are some parts where you when Mrs. Hilly Holbrook got what was coming to her...but the movie is a "root for the underdogs", "put the bullies in there place", "history making" kind of movie.....and man was it! It really was so good and very much like the book! There are pieces from the book that didn't make it in there, but it didn't effect the story line. The characters cast were absolutely perfect for each role. I laughed, I got chills, I teared up several times....and I loved it. I went with some girlfriends, but I have all intentions of taking The Hubs to see it again, I think he will really like it too....and he actually is interested in seeing it! :)

So, here is the trailer....go see it...go! Whether you read the book or not....go! :)

I haven't read the book yet, but it's high on my list. Normally I don't like seeing movies where I know I'll cry, but it's hard to pass up an Emma Stone movie!

I read the book and saw the movie, too! In fact, I blogged about this as well! Ha. Although I was sad that some of my favorite details were left out in the movie, you can never fit as much in a movie as you can in a book and I think they did a good job!! Love your blog ;)
