Fun Weekend Recap

After being totally MIA last week, so sorry by the way, I am back with a quick weekend recap. See work has kept me uber busy lately and I just haven't had the time to create the posts that I love doing. I have kept up reading and commenting on a few of yours and vow to be better this week. I will just have to have better time management..... :)

On to the recap, Friday night I went to dinner with The Hubs. We went to Outback to get one of these lovely yummy apps, my fave!! And dinner turned into closing the restaurant down with a few friends....good times!
Saturday morning we woke up bright and early to meet the in-laws for breakfast. We went to the square in Franklin to Puckett's Grocery. I had never been and my goodness was it fabulous! The hubs and I are gonna have to go back for dinner and the live music.
We wondered around the square for a bit and found this cute little store (who am I kidding, they are all cute stores!) that had fun goodies for gift baskets. My mother-in-law got these for Otto and Maylie....

A cake
and cookies!

they look real and smell yummy!

And here they are waiting patiently for a piece of cake...

They looooved!

But before we went home we went and toured The Carnton Plantation. The Hub's is a history buff, as is his dad, me....not so much. I have learned quite a bit of history since knowing him, so I am getting better. Any who, I didn't know anything about The Carnton Plantation and what went on there. It was actually pretty cool and I learned some very important history abut the Civil War.

And The Hubs got this book talking about the woman who owned the home.....which he has been reading intently.

I then found this recipe that I will be making this week....but I think I will you ricotta cheese rather than the cottage....just not a big fan....I'll let you know how it turns out!

Then it was time our girls dinner. We went for sushi...mmmm!!

Then a few of us continued on to Rumba for some wine and to meet up with a few other friends...a little blurry....
not sure what is going on here.....but doesn't it look weird??
We sat out on the patio to enjoy the rare weather with a cool breeze! It was fabulous!
More of some awesome people, love this couple!!

Such studs they are.....

Then a friend bought us shots....and told the waitress to pick....she brought us a "chartreuse"....
 they were....
 awful.....
 and I mean awful!! I don't recommend!!

All throughout the weekend my throat was a little scratchy....Saturday morning I had to clear my throat every time I tried to speak and by Saturday night I sounded like a man. Yesterday morning I woke up with no voice and lots of pain and I am not any better today. :( I am now at home after working on paperwork this morning trying to recover with soups and teas. Come on immune system!

So that was my fun-filled busy weekend!!
