Wishful Wednesday - Favorite Easter Memory

Happy Wednesday Blogging World!!
I don't know about everyone else, but I am thoroughly enjoying this week!!! I don't know if it is the un-freaking beautimous weather we are having OR the fact that I have the sweetest smartest puppy at home (no accidents so far -crossing my fingers! - and she even woke us up to go potty, we Trey took her out and she came back in and went right back to sleep!) OR that I am meeting some old fabulous friends for dinner that I haven't seen in FOR-EVER! OR that it is already Wednesday OR that I am uber pumped about the weekend's fun plans OR the fact that my ever so sweet hubs just called and is meeting me in the park with my adorable puppies for a picnic lunch!! Don't know which one it is, but I am loving ALL of it! :)

On to the Fabulous Wishful Wednesday!!

This week's topic is:
'I wish' .... I could re-live one Easter memory from my childhood, and it would be the Easter we lived in Littleton, CO and went sunrise service at Red Rocks!

Okay, so a little tid-bit of information about me, I have lived in 8 states - 7 before I was 12. Colorado was number 6 and we had only been there for a few months. I was about 11 years old and still mad at my parents for moving me away from all of my friends and just on the cusp of the terrible pre-teen years, so I was not afraid to let them know when I was mad (God Bless Them!).

So, Mom and Dad decided to take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings in Colorado and take us to Sunrise Service at Red Rocks. I saw it as them forcing me out of bed. Into the cold. At the crack of dawn (not even, actually...). And not understanding what I wanted! I mean, how could they?!?! Right?!?! (God help me when I have a girl....) :). I proceeded to pout and complain about the cold most of the time and even when I did start to enjoy it.....I couldn't let them know, ya know?! :)

Anyway, 16 years later I am older and wiser and WAY more appreciative of all things....especially the amazing things my parents do for me. I would love the opportunity to wake up before the sun comes up, before most of the world is awake and go here to celebrate Easter!!

I mean, really, how amazingly beautiful is this place?!?!

I heart Colorado!

So, that is the Easter that sticks out in my mind....the one I wish I had the opportunity to re-live!

And of course, who could forget all the many many easter egg hunts growing up!!

Who doesn't LOVE running like crazy...

to find that egg.....

and make sure you get it

before this kid?!?! :)

Head over to Kelsey's blog and play along!

Introducing our precious new addition.....

Maylie Lou!!!!

We did it folks!  We found our sweet little baby beagle girl yesterday and she is friggin' precious!!!

Let me just share with you the story of how we came to find this adorable little girl......

We had a long fun but life changing weekend...but that is a whole 'nother post...and needless to say I was exhausted Monday morning. Tired, not feeling good, slightly stressed and worried what the future was holding for the Bs. So, to brighten my afternoon I decided to check out puppyfinder.com, a fabulous website to find animals who need good homes. I narrowed down my search to a baby girl beagle puppy and low and behold there is one at the Nashville Human Association!! 4 boys and 1 girl! I got the biggest smile on my face and got all giddy!! I called Trey immediately, told him to go see if she was still there and to call me and I would leave work ASAP.

See, we have gone to the Humane Association here in Nashville every weekend for the past month hoping to find a little girl - it was/is very important to me to save a dog. I have always gotten my puppies from a shelter and will continue to do so. Trey says he saved Otto too and I totally agree, all puppies need good homes....the humane society just makes me sad though.....I want all of them! Anyway, the past few times we have gone all the puppies were boxers or labs or big dogs, which I LOVE but we just wanted a smaller one with Otto. So this past Sunday was the first time we hadn't gone in a month and these precious puppies were delivered Saturday......what are the odds?!?!?

So, Trey calls me and all he says is you are going melt. I look at my boss (also a HUGE dog lover, who has been trying to help us find one for a month) and say, can I leave early to get a puppy?! Her response, "Only if you bring her tomorrow", umm I get to get a puppy and bring her to work?!?!?! Suuuuh - weeeetttttt!!! I head run out the door and fight the traffic to get to her. I walk in Trey is playing catch with her, she looks up at me....

and I pick her up, look at Trey, and that was it! He just said, okay and walked out there to do the paperwork!!

We proceed to Petsmart to get her some good ol' girly puppy stuff and take her to her new home! :)

getting very sleeepppyyy....

and she's out!

Finally home....just in time for more sleep!! Don't you just want to kiss that sweet wet nose?!?!! :)

AAAANNNNDDD, she's up!!!

Whaddya doin'!?!?!?

Hey big brother!!! :)

Hey momma.....what is that flashy thing?!??!

My sweet angels taken their snoozies :)

At work with momma this morning, she found a football.....she's a Bellar!!

I promise there will be more a ton of pictures to come!!!

Happy Tuesday!!
Love,
Trey, Sarah, Otto, and Maylie!!

My First Thoughtless Thursday - Reception!

One of my fav blogs, Life In the Fulmer Lane, hosts Thoughtless Thursday and I thought I would play along this week for a few reasons....

First, I am pretty thoughtless today with this not-so-lovely weather Nashville is having

Second, the idea of Thoughtless Thursday is to pick any random picture(s) that comes to mind, post 'em & chat about 'em....I just so happen to have several pictures I would like to post. I will be displaying a collage of pictures if you will....aka, my round up of the wedding videos! :) You can find the first two here and here, (they are the bridal party walk-in and the ceremony)

Third, I have played several other games the past few days, why not round out the week!? :) And of course to show some love to Katie!? :)

So, here goes...

Photobucket
The Reception with songs played from the reception and it makes me happy on this thoughtless - gloomy day! :)

This one may require a little explanation, if you know me and my husband you know we are die hard SEC football fans. Die Hard. We live and breathe for those weekends filled with tailgating (the grove does it the beast.....I'm just sayin'), chanting, Jack Daniels, poms-poms, good friends, and some good ole fashioned rivalry! More specifically his Tennessee Vols and my Ole Miss Rebels!! HOTTY TODDY!!! :) (thank God, they aren't huge rivals!:)) We even planned our entire wedding around their schedules which ended up being all for nothing....but that is an entirely different post! Anyway, when Daddy made this DVD he created it for us, which means he had to add some Alma Mater love for us! :) We had Rocky Top, Dixie, and Hotty Toddy playing all throughout the reception, it was awe-some! The pics you will see at the reception are when 1 of the 3 were playing and we were rocking out! I LOVE IT!
Anyway, there is my explanation.....enjoy:

Happy Thoughless Thursday! Now head over to Katie's blog and check out the rest!

Wishful Wednesday!

Happy Middle of the week, my friends!! 2 more days left in this lovely week!
And I don't know about all of the other Nashvillians out there, but I am LOVING this weather, I don't think I have ever been this excited about Spring!! I am taking full advantage of it too, just ran home to play with Mr. Man so he can enjoy it and then the hubs and I are meeting my bff and her man-friend for some happy hour action at 5:01! :) yay!

This week's topic for Wishful Wednesday is Handbags!

'I wish' .... I could afford....
Hermes, Prada, Burberry, Louis Vuitton, Dolce and Gabbana.....ahhh, do I have to choose just one? Because I can't....

Here are several of my faves right now:

of course, the classic and oh so fabulous Louis Vuitton Doctor's Bag
I have loved you for about 8 years now.

And I am loving this new print like Kelsey, I have had my eye on it since it came out!

Not your typical Burberry, but I heart it!

I must admit, I fell out of love with Prada for a while....but these are b-e-a-utiful!

This bag could carry a small child. And I need it.
It's Dolce and Gabbana, who makes my favorite bags. Ever. My MIL has bought me 3! And while all of them might not be real, they come in the pretty bag and look damn good to me, so I will tell myself the are 100% real!

And of course, the Hermes Birkin Bag - I think this bag has had everyone's heart since it's appearance on Sex In The City! :)

Can you tell I like bags?!?! They make me smile!

Now if only I could find a job that could make me 'smile' all the time! :)

Top 2 Tuesday!

It's Top 2 Tuesday and my 2nd post for the day, lookey there! :)

This week's topic is:

Top 2 things you cant live without

The Undomesticated Momma decided to be fun and lighthearted about it making it more like, 2 things I would not like to live without, so I am going that route....this is besides the hubs, Mr. Man (our pup), my lovely friends, and my fantastic family.

In the spirit of not being too materialistic I thought about things that are a MUST to get me through my day....and sadly, this is what I came up with :)

1st, Mascara!
This may be strange to some, but for any of you fellow bloggers with blonde eyelashes - you feel me! I do not consider myself to be high maintenance by any means, but I MUST have my mascara on before leaving the house. I look like I have the smallest eyes ever without it and I have about 8 tubes of it in my make-up bag......does that make me crazy?! :) - so needless to say I am somewhat of a mascara connoisseur

2nd, my crack - aka Diet Mtn. Dew

(yes, this is my desk at work......it'sad, I know)

Seriously, this is my crack. It is my coffee, I used to drink Starbucks all the time and one day decided to cut back.......well, I did, cut it out completely........and then a few months later Diet Mtn. Dew came into my life and it has never been the same. My husband continues to tell me that my teeth are going to fall out.....but not one cavitie yet! :)

And of course my iphone, macbook, camera, and dvr are cruical staples in my life too....but I could only pick two! :)

Waht are your top two? Go check out The Undomesticated Momma to see other answers.

Wedding Videos Part Deux

I am kinda blah today and uber busy at work so my idea to add these uh-ma-zing videos from me lovely father works out rather nicely for my post today! :) You can find the find the first one here, and without further ado.......

Here is the Ceremony........

(please forgive the constant eye wiping and mascara face....I was a crying mess and the flowers added to it - had I know where the camera was I might have tried to make pretty faces the whole time - who am I kidding?! I was lucky to be breathing! :))

I especially heart this one because it has one of our absolute favorite songs ever (by The Features - a local Nashville band we love), lots of memories and meaning for us in this song! :)

I hope you enjoy!

I will post the others later this week. Have a fantabulous day!!!

My Parents Rock!! & Wedding Video 1

appy Monday to everyone!! Hope everyone had a fabulous weekend, I know I did!

My lovely parents came in town "just for a visit" but they had plans other than just visiting............more home improvements!! :) Trey and I were not expecting it at all, but beyond ecstatic about it! Our home was built in 1960 and just about the whole house was renovated right before we bought it, so we got pretty lucky! But there was one nail in my side....the guest bath. Now it isn't awful as could be, i.e. baby pink or vomit green tile all over the place, but it was a dated tile bathroom and quite frankly just didn't flow with the rest of the house and it drove me and my mom nuts! It is an ivory color tile (not bad), with all gold/brass fixtures (bad), neutral wall-paper (pretty bad), a tacky gold/brass light fixture (really bad), a massive mirror and gold medicine cabinet (really really bad), and a freaking shell sink (awfully bad (is that a word)).

I am happy to report it is almost ALL gone!!! :) All we have to do is paint! New beautiful, white, clean sink with no gold pieces floating around in a shell design, all brushed nickel fixtures, a new modern and pretty light, and a flat smooth-lined mirror!! It makes such a difference already! We have to do a couple coats of primer and paint, and then we will be done. With everything!! :) I am thinking either a burnt orange color or a latte color....any thoughts suggestions?? It is a small space and I need to keep the flow with the ivory tile....hmmm. I will post pics soon! Daddy also added crown molding to our den and it looks sooooooooo pretty!! He Rocks!
My dad is the regular handy man as well as a total computer nerd - which I totally get from him!! He made Trey and I a wedding DVD for Christmas and it was/is the most amazing and special thing EVER!! He surprised us with it on Christmas Eve with the whole fam and just played it, we had no idea he was doing it! The whole wedding was a blur for Trey and I (as I am sure most of you newlyweds can understand) so it was so special to see it all together and all with songs from the wedding and special to Trey and I. My mom and I cried, shocking - I know, and I smiled for about 4 hours! The DVD was so cool, the actual DVD had our logo from our candy bags on it (love is sweet, sarah and trey, october 3, 2009) and it has it's own home screen with scenes personalized to us - it is awesome!! I thought I would share these videos with everyone, gives it a little more personalization! :)

Here is the first one of 5, hope you enjoy them! And Daddy, thank you again for working so hard!! I am so thankful and proud!! LOVE YOU!!

Oh, how I heart The Ryman!

So, I found out the hubs' new job has some fabulous little perks - and what are those fabulous little perks you ask??

Tickets to see Blake Shelton at this fabulous/amazing/splendid/phenomenal place tonight!!

I mean, look at that! Not a bad seat in the house!!

I have been to over a dozen shows here and I get uber excited every freakin' time!! It is just such a fantabulous place to see any kind of show!! There is so much history and the acoustics are freaking phenomenal!! We haven't been in a while....I believe the last person we saw was Neko Case and that was back when it was warm...sad....so excited!!! :)

One more day folks, one more day until the weekend!!

Wishful Wednesday - To Work or Not To Work....

Happy Wednesday to all my fellow bloggers! And more importantly,

HAPPY ST. PATRICK'S DAY!!!!!

I love this holiday!! I am heading out shortly in my green with a 6 ft. 4-leaf clover (my co-worker in an awesome costume) to deliver goodies to our local clients and then some green beer and margaritas this afternoon/evening!! YIPPEE!!!!
(I do have to add that I think this day would be much better spent if I walked down a couple blocks to Dan McGuinness to celebrate under the big green tent like a real Irish Girl should.....just saying....)

Okay, back to Wishful Wednesday!!

This is week 2 for me and this week's topic is

'I wish' .... I could win the lottery REAL soon, and I would hope to ________.

**The real question is would you

1.) quit your job/career

2.) continue working

I would take a loooong vacation but definitely go back to work! I would go stir crazy with nothing to do all day! But I would not go back to my current job.......I would start my own business and be my own boss! - which in turn would make it "not work"! This is something I have always wanted to do so I hope to do it one day, when the lottery or not :)

So, that was a short and sweet answer! I am off to deliver pots of gold with my 4-leaf clover! :)

Happy Hump Day/St. Patrick's Day!!! It's gonna be a good day! :)

Top 2 Tuesday - Style Loves

This is my first time to play along with Top 2 Tuesday, but again, I couldn't resist the topic! :)

This week's topic is Top 2 Favorite Celebrity Styles

For those of you who don't know, go check out the undomestic momma to see all the other bloggers choices!

Now, on to my choices......I have several celebrity fashion muses but most I like "this and that" but my top two I just love!

First, the lovely Jennifer Anniston:

I love her classic style and she just always looks so put together!

I love her red carpet style! It is always classic and sexy but never too much.

Second, and this is for my funky trendier side, Nicole Richie:

I love how she is always layering things and big chunky accessories

now I do realize she was a little crazy back in the day with her wardrobe choices, but I think motherhood calmed her down and I just love it! :)

Coming in a close 3rd and 4th was Jillian Harris from The Bachelorette (just loved her clothes!) and Blake Lively (love her, but sometimes she just needs to cover up! :))

Who are your faves?!

Happy Tuesday!!

Back to the grind!

Happy Monday to all you pretty people out there!

I don't have much to report seeing as how the hubs and I did a whole lotta nadda this weekend - and it was just lovely! :) We did a few chores around the house, watched some basketball (and I must say I was a pretty good loser when the Vols beat my Rebs....I mean sadly, I wasn't expecting a different outcome, just hoping...), drank some wine and Jack (not together, of course), and watched some movies. We watched "Up In The Air" and "Extract", both pretty good - not great movies.

We got out of the house Sunday to take our sweet little man to the park (we are going to just pretend spring is here) and he had a big time! He is so cute, when we get on any of those roads next to Centennial Park- he always knows, he starts freaking out and getting uber excited! Loooove taking him there! We also stopped by The Nashville Humane Association to check out the pups since we have heard back out about the beagle :(. There are sooooo many fabulous and precious little pups there and I want them all! I am sure I am one of 1 million that say this, but I want a big farm so that I can adopt a ton of them!!! All shapes and sizes! They had some absolutely adorable pups but they are all going to grow to be too big for what we were are looking for.....so sad..... :(.

On a happier note, Daylight Savings was yesterday!!! WOO HOO!!!!

This means that when I leave work today it will still be sunny daylight outside!! This makes me sooooooooo happy! I hate when we have to set the clocks back (except for that extra hour of sleep, of course), it makes the days shorter and darker and I just don't like it! I loooooove leaving work with it still being bright and sunny, it makes the day longer which means I can either take Mr. Man to the park or get in some quick pool time when we open it!! I mean, why do have Daylight Savings anyway?! I think we should be like Arizona and just not do it.....any takers?!

Another reason I am perkier than usual on this cold and gloomy Monday…...Wednesday is St. Patrick's Day!!! And this Irish Girl looooooooovesss some St. Patrick's Day!

My office is going out to see some clients on a mini sales blitz to deliver some Irish goodies, which means we will be decked out in green and fun Irish adornments (pictures to follow) and then a group of us are going for some dinner and cocktails! As much as we would LOVE to go to one of the many Irish Pubs around Nashville, I don't know that any of us will have the energy to fight the crowds of the lucky folks who get to enjoy St. Patrick's Day all day with several pints! :) Anyone else have big plans/suggestions?!
Happy Monday to you all!!!

Wishful Wednesday......Wedding Dress - or dresses

I love this week's Wishful Wednesday topic, so I HAD to play along with Kelsey over at The Seattle Smiths!

'I wish' I could wear/could have worn _______dress on my wedding day!

I have to say, that given the choice again to pick out a wedding dress, I would pick the same one all over again! I absolutely loved my dress! I loved the style, the fit, the train, the belt to go with it, the price tag, and of course - the way it made me feel! It was perfect! But, I, just like most girls, love wedding dresses! So I have lots of pics for ya! :)

Several friends were married at the beach last year I have thought several times what I would have worn had I had a beach wedding. I love the flowy-ness of these dresses!

this one is from Pronovias, i just love the one strap and ruching - it would be beautiful on the beach!

Foudn this one at The Knot - love the top!

And I MUST share my love for Monique Lhuillier and Oscar de la Renta! I retract my previous statement, had my budget for my dress been a little a lot higher I may have picked one of the beauties!

the sleeves on this are just a bolero - i love how feminine and simple this is!

I just freaking love this dress!! I never wanted a big dress, but I totally would have rocked this!!! So beautiful!! Ahhh, Monique! (yes, we are on a first name basis!:))

love this, very similar to the style/cut of mine

just fun!

and this is definitely my fave!!!!
Oscar knows how to fit a woman!! (again, yes first name basis!)

Happy Hump Day!!!
