Happy Wednesday Blogging World!!
I don't know about everyone else, but I am thoroughly enjoying this week!!! I don't know if it is the un-freaking beautimous weather we are having OR the fact that I have the sweetest smartest puppy at home (no accidents so far -crossing my fingers! - and she even woke us up to go potty,
we Trey took her out and she came back in and went right back to sleep!) OR that I am meeting some old fabulous friends for dinner that I haven't seen in FOR-EVER! OR that it is already Wednesday OR that I am uber pumped about the weekend's fun plans OR the fact that my ever so sweet hubs just called and is meeting me in the park with my adorable puppies for a picnic lunch!! Don't know which one it is, but I am loving ALL of it! :)
On to the Fabulous Wishful Wednesday!!
This week's topic is:
'I wish' .... I could re-live one Easter memory from my childhood, and it would be the Easter we lived in Littleton, CO and went sunrise service at Red Rocks!
Okay, so a little tid-bit of information about me, I have lived in 8 states - 7 before I was 12. Colorado was number 6 and we had only been there for a few months. I was about 11 years old and still mad at my parents for moving me away from all of my friends and just on the cusp of the terrible pre-teen years, so I was not afraid to let them know when I was mad (God Bless Them!).
So, Mom and Dad decided to take full advantage of the beautiful surroundings in Colorado and take us to Sunrise Service at Red Rocks. I saw it as them forcing me out of bed. Into the cold. At the crack of dawn (not even, actually...). And not understanding what I wanted! I mean, how could they?!?! Right?!?! (God help me when I have a girl....) :). I proceeded to pout and complain about the cold most of the time and even when I did start to enjoy it.....I couldn't let them know, ya know?! :)
Anyway, 16 years later I am older and wiser and WAY more appreciative of all things....especially the amazing things my parents do for me. I would love the opportunity to wake up before the sun comes up, before most of the world is awake and go here to celebrate Easter!!
I mean, really, how amazingly beautiful is this place?!?!
I heart Colorado!
So, that is the Easter that sticks out in my mind....the one I wish I had the opportunity to re-live!
And of course, who could forget all the many many easter egg hunts growing up!!
Who doesn't LOVE running like crazy...
to find that egg.....
and make sure you get it
before this kid?!?! :)
Head over to Kelsey's blog and play along!
