CMA Recap

Good Morning Blogging World!!

I thought I would honor this post with some CMA action.....I have to say I never really cared that much about the CMAs before I moved to Nashville......but when you live in the city that creates, hosts, and honors them you kinda get a little excited! :)

Me and my lovely ladies have a monthly dinner club where we rotate houses and the hosts makes the main course and everyone brings a side, app, dessert, or beverage, well this month it fell on CMA night....which was perfect....and it being November, we had Thanksgiving dinner! Yes, the full load....turkey, dressing, mashed potatoes, squash casserole, green bean casserole, cresecent rolls, gravy, and cranberry-apple oatneal crisp for dessert....mmmmmmmmmmmmmmmmm!!! It was deeee-lightful!

So we got all of our fabulous food and got cozied up on the couch with some wine and ready to watch!!

First, can I just say....I looooooove these two hosting! It is their 3rd year and even though Carrie's dresses are a little interesting some times...they are so good together!
Speaking of said dresses.....let's check 'em out.....

First look....I like the "theory" of this....the layers, the color.....but there is a lot of "poof" going on.........
This hot little number is just fabulous and I loooooooooooove it!
this one is cute.....
this one....i just don't know...there is a lot of fabric on that little bitty body...her legs look like toothpicks coming out of a curtain....again, I like the "theory" of it, the draping, the layers....but something didn't quite come together.....
this is pretty, love the color, the one shoulder, the grandness of it....buuuuuuuuuut, I feel like she is copying herself.....
........who can forget that massive dress she wore a few years ago.......and I loved this!
this one....I just, I just don't know...I hated it when I saw it on the show...it looked like a flaming toga....but I don't hate it here....just not for the host of the CMAs....
and this one, no. just no. absolutely not.
Next some of my favorite red carpet moments......

Gwyneth.....oh my, that is a dress! Man, I am going to do a little prayer that I can have 2 kids and still look like that......who I am kidding I have no kids and couldn't pull that off!
Do you guys remember the blog/artical she wrote about our lovely little city?! No, well here....check it out!
This is a lot, but I love it! Absolutely love it! And I love her brunette hair change too! Maybe because I have also joined the club of brunettes a few weeks ago....
How preciously sweet is this?! I love Dierks!
I just love Katherine, yeah...we are on a first name basis....she is so cute!
Classically beautiful....I will always see her in that big lacy gown with a bog ol' veil and lacy/sparkley tennis shoes!
Okay, I have a weakness for Gossip Girl, so I love Blair/Leighton Meester....but what was going on with her...her eyebrows were all over the place when shoe presented....sunken in face.....I don't know something just didn't look right.....
I just don't know what to say about this......I don't hate it....love the dress....but that's about it...
Martina, honey....yes you have a killer body....but dress your age..........like.....
Sarah, killer body.....big heals and short dress, but she looks classy with it..

Okay I am done being Joan Rivers.... :)

On to some of my fave performances and winners.....

First, the best.....

Miss Miranda Lambert!
Female Vocalist of the Year, Album of the Year, and Music Video of the Year!

Loved her performances....so fun!
and of course her sweet hubby who received Male Vocalist of the Year and Musical Event of the Year. So sweet!
Poor T-Swift didn't get any love this year....
Gwyneth...I have to say I was impressed. She got up in front of a room full of the best in the industry and sang AND played the guitar....and looked like she fit there! Very excited about seeing that movie!
And last, but not least...Mr. Paisley....Entertainer of the Year! He was so sweet and so humble accepting the award! I loved it!

So that is my uber long CMA re-cap! :) Told ya I was back with full force! :)

Hope you all have a FABULOUS day!!

-Sarah

I adore Taylor but I don't really see her as country. I think she has pretty much crossed over that is okay but I think that is why she didn't capture anything last night.

I adore Miranda and Blake and think its fantastic they both took home vocalist of the year awards
